The 13 stars adorning this patch happen to make up the flag that flew over George Washington's Headquarters in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The flag is also known as the Valley Forge Flag and is thought to have been the standard of the army in 1781. The 13 six-pointed stars on the flag represent the 13 Original Colonies. We added his signature at the bottom of the stars.

I bought the black version of the patch to blend with the motif in my podcast studio. I keep it mounted on my motivation wall directly in front of my face as a constant reminder of the kind of courage, fortitude, and integrity to wish I aspire. I'll likely purchase the original blue field as it will complement my Raider/Recon/MARSOC patch. Semper Fi and keep at it.
