George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River, took place on Christmas night 1776, during the American Revolutionary War, and was the first move in a surprise attack organized by George Washington against the Hessian forces in Trenton, New Jersey. Planned in partial secrecy, Washington led Continental Army troops across the icy Delaware River in a logistically challenging and dangerous operation. Other planned crossings in support of the operation were either called off or ineffective, but this did not prevent Washington from surprising and defeating the troops of Johann Rall quartered in Trenton. The army crossed the river back to Pennsylvania, this time laden with prisoners and military stores taken as a result of the battle. His original plan included three separate river crossings, but only one actually made it.
It is one of the most famous paintings in American History.
Painted in 1851 by German artist Emanuel Leutze, Washington Crossing the Delaware became a sensation on both sides of the Atlantic. Painted in Dusseldorf Germany, Washington Crossing the Delaware shows a bold General Washington navigating through the frozen river with his compatriots braving the elements on their way to victory at Trenton. While the painting was in Germany, Leutze hoped that this brave episode in pursuit of American independence and republican rule would stir his fellow countrymen to more liberal reforms. In the fall of 1851 the painting was shipped to the United States where it wowed audiences in New York City and the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington DC. The New York Evening Mirror boldly called it “the grandest, most majestic, and most effective painting ever exhibited in America.”

I own the original color of this epic fun design. I had to pick up the navy one as well!!
About 1776 United
We created 1776 United to evoke a sense of patriotism found in our forefathers. Most have forgotten to ask themselves not what their country can do for them, but what they can do for their country.
Our dream is to inspire a new wave of patriotism that might lead to the next Greatest Generation. We aim for the clothing we create to embody the many chapters of American history. Each shirt is a cotton reminder of who we are, where we live, and where we're going.
I would rate this hoodie 13 stars for it quality and look. The material is very comfortable and does not leave you with that scratchy itching feeling I have had with more inferior hoodies.
My wife tried to do the old "hey can i burrow your sweater, I'm cold" routine and I was like
"you know who else was cold? George Wash and his boys getting ready to clap Germans on Christmas. They didn't complain, they planned ahead and brought the proper winter weather gear."
Whatever, she is mad, cold, and I'll be sleeping on couch tonight but being comfortable in this hoodie...
I purchased this for my husband who lives the T-shirt’s, I was concerned over the graphic, but once it arrived it’s PERFECT. the quality is super nice, and ordering was easy. Thank you for making great product ! -Robin Weaver
The Bedford Flag is absolutely my favorite flag from American history. It had an amazing story behind it that stretches back long before the American Revolution and it was right there when the Shot Heard Round the World was fired. This glass captures that emotion and energy. It looks great filled with beer, it looks great on the shelf. It is awesome!

I have bought numerous shirts, hats and coffee mugs and tankards, over the years, from 76 and I have never been disappointed. Hence the title of this post!
Picked this up recently and I was very pleased with the quality, comfort and overall look of the Gadsden Lightweight Hoodie. It does run a little smaller considering it’s slimmer fit so I ordered up one size and it fits perfectly. It’s really soft inside yet still has a nice feel on the outer material which isn’t stiff but has enough of a “strong” feel if that makes sense (feels like it will hold up very well). The overall design is great, the backside being the main showing and minimal front markings keeps it a clean look. I’m really glad I got this hoodie, don’t hesitate if you’re considering it as well, you won’t be disappointed. 1776 has great products and great people who care about what they’re doing - looking forward to future purchases.
The fit is great, good length, and overall badass design. The original sweatshirt was for my man, but after he put it on, I have to get one for myself!
I always love my products I buy from 1776 United!
Unfortunately I need the xl hoodie instead of the large. I am in the process of shipping the large back to you. for exchange.
Thank you!
P.S.
Please bring back the do not tread on me flexfit hat back!
Stay the course!

Just one of several things I’ve bought over the years. Great quality great price and amazing people to deal with. God bless you guys for everything you do
This is the 3rd or 4th order from you guys, and like always, everything is outstanding! I think I have about 10 or so items, and they are of the highest quality!
1776 United never fails to deliver on quality products! The design is awesome, perfect for Halloween! The hoodie is also super comfortable. I’ve worn it quite a lot since it came in the mail. Not too heavy but not too light either. The perfect autumn hoodie!
I never had to implement the shipping protection feature offered by 1776United. That's a good thing. I feel with the porch pirate activity and other stuff that can happen, I'm glad it's there.
Got this for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift! He absolutely loves the headless horsemen, Halloween and of course America and American History. This was the perfect gift. It looks like it might run a little small. I should have gotten him a Large instead. He can wear the MD just a bit snug. So if between sizes I would size up 1 size. That's all...
