Like the famous Join or Die political cartoon, the Unite or Die image is meant to have the same representation. It is a disjointed snake making up the colonies of the United States before its formation. The Unite or Die image is very rare and uncommon, and honestly we have had trouble finding more information regarding it. It was seen on John Holt's Masthead of his newspaper, a very bold image and trend for newspapers of the time. Whether it had anymore meaning other than a heading of a newspaper is up in the air. We loved the imagery though and had to use it on a tee. Below is a photo and a link to the original copy where you can buy it for a cool $18,000.
Our shirts run a little small and are athletic fit, so if you are in between sizes or are unsure, please order up one size.
Ultra Soft Tri-Blend (50% Polyester / 25% Cotton / 25% Rayon) construction.
***This shirt is thinner and lighter than our normal shirts because of the Tri-Blend vintage construction. Please be aware it's a little more slim-fitting than a regular t-shirt -- you may have to order up one size.
Another great shirt!
This is my sixth shirt form 1776 and I am still hugely impressed with this great company. The shirts are the most comfortable and best looking I have ever worn. The material used isn’t cheap even though the shirts are so thin and light weight. I also love the designs. And as always the shipping was pretty quick. I have a huge stack of awesome stickers I can display on my car and wherever else. Plus every time I purchase I get a discount on my next order. This is a great company to do business with. If you haven’t tried them out yet I highly recommend you do. You won’t be disappointed!!
Fiancé adores the shirts! They’re great quality! Will definitely be ordering again!
